Is Harry Mudd the Most Underrated Classic Trek Villain?

I, Mudd Episode Report

Captain’s Log: Stardate 062616 watching with enhanced effects in accordance with The Mockers Podcast Mockumendations…

00…Epic Spock/McCoy interaction to start the proceedings, Spock wins the argument…

00…Wow, it’s really fucking easy to fuck with the Enterprise as the mysterious Norman easily takes over auxiliary control of the ship…not even Kirk’s lime green with gold seams uniform can stop him…

00…It took that dude 4:00 to completely hi-jack the Enterprise, someone is going to get fired for that…

00…Enhanced effect when Norman reveals himself to be an androids, I have been impressed with the recent effects upgrade but this one made me miss the cheesy original…

00…Kirk’s uniform looks like a 60’s version of a fleece, looks very comfy…

00…HARRY MUDD!! He immediately unleashes a laddybuck at Jamie Boy! Ends the scene with a diabolical laugh and decreeing that Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura and Chekhov will be stranded on the planet forever (the exact sentence I have!!)…

00…Good scene as Harry fills in the blanks between his first episode appearance, early in season one and this season two joint…

00…Costume designer should have won an emmy for this episode as Mudd’s faux military top replete with flowery bling and a purple belt is a sight to behold…

00…Probably not a good idea to just let Spock wander around the android’s main control center and he quickly gets Norman’s chain to blink…

00…Uhura looks like she might actually want to be become an android and McCoy wants to stay and study so maybe this planet isn’t so bad…

00…Mudd has had the entire crew of the Enterprise beamed down to this planet? Where the fuck are they staying?

00…Chekhov is sitting on the Game of Thrones!! C’mon Chekhov, you can bone the androids!!

00…How many times can you say ‘gilded cage’ in one scene??

00…Oh boy, here we go…every episode that pits Kirk vs. a computer ends up in a battle of wits that the computer has no chance to win…Kirk confuses Alice model number 471 by saying the Enterprise is a beautiful lady that he makes passionate love too…

00…Androids turn the tables on Mudd and reveal a plan that calls for taking over all the humans in the galaxy!!

00…Crew concocts a plan to confuse the androids and it’s set off by a nice Uhura mis-direct…

00…Wow, great choreography for Scotty and  McCoy during this bizarro scene where they are trying to confuse the androids with erratic behavior…

00…Even Spock gets in on the act thanks to his feelings for Alice 27…these androids are fucking pathetic, getting outwitted like this…

00…Seriously, how much time did this Vaudeville Act get to rehearse these skits? “Scotty Is Dead” is their best show yet!!

00…Oh wait, ’Invisible Explosive’ also has a lot of heart and a gritty storyline plus ends with a Harry swinging an invisible golf club (excited that golf will still be around in a few hundred years!)…plus it’s nice to see Harry Mudd and Captain Kirk working together…

00…Norman is fried after stewing over a basic logic question, ridiculous…

00…Crew leaves Harry on the planet with 500 android models of his hectoring ex-wife…imagine if Kirk had to live on an android planet with different models of all the chicks he banged on the show?

FINAL REPORT: Solid, silly space fun laddybuck!! Thanks for reading and be sure to listen to our latest podcast where Eric and I talk about this episode!
